My son has been on long term disability with Proctor and Gamble for approx. 3 years. He had a bothced surgery which left him impaired for life which also sent him into depression. Hurricain Katrina destroyed his home in Chalmetter La., his relationship with his sons mother ended, which sent firther into depression.
Then along come good ole P&G. He had his insurance cancelled last year for non-payment (they charge him $440. per month). He had decided to relocate back to the New Orleans area which is where all of his doctors are based. This left his account unable to cover his premium. This year they offered to reinstate him. He was told he would have to responde on a certain date. Unfortunatly that date was after the later was post--dated on the envelope. Therefore he though his insurance was cancelled. Well guess what? In april without notification they took out 3 payments of over $440. per month, and attempted to take out the forth payment. Checks began to bounce all over the place and he began to try to find out from P&G what was going on. Finally he could no longer handle the frustration and attempted suicide.
I then began to try to straighten out all of this mess. I spoke with Carlos at P&G who informed me that P&G had nothing to do with the insurance company or practices that I would need to contact the insurance company itself.
In comes Charlene Bloome. She represented herself as did Carlos, as the P&G Manager in charge of insurance. I informed her of what all had happened. She informed me she had also received the letter after the date dateline for insurance but becasue of that decided to include him on the insurance. She stated she found out too late to take out two payments so without notification took three payment out of his next check. She even attempted to collect for that month and it came back NSF. She stated she sould have sent a letter stating her plans. Charlene also told me we could work out a payment plan to cover that back month as they had depleted his account without notice. She said she had set up payment plans in the past.
Guess what folks...she called today and said ooops can't do it. Benefit Health Care Manager at P&G (did'nt they say they had nothing to do with what the insurance company does) Maryann Fitzgerald said so sorry but no we want all our maonies NOW. THERE ARE NO ALLOWANCES FOR ANYONE (YEAH RIGHT)! Charlene Bloome is only a billing clerk. Guess what I just called Charlene's number 1-800-337-5879 and asked her assistant what charline title is which I stated above P&G Manager in charge of Insurance. Oh by the way the unissued number to reach Maryann Fitzgeral Benefit Heallth Care Manage is 1-513-983-1713.
